Standard
Our reference is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the same guidelines referenced by the European standard EN 301 549.
Compliance status
The website, the webmail and the panel are partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA. They are designed for level AA and checked with automated tests, but we have not yet completed an independent audit or full testing with screen readers. We will update this page once we have.
What we do
- We use native page elements (buttons, links, field labels), so keyboards and screen readers recognise them.
- Text has a contrast of at least 4.5:1 against its background, in the dark theme too.
- Buttons and links have a touch area of at least 44 pixels.
- Everything can be reached with the keyboard, with an always-visible focus and a link to skip to the content.
- In the webmail every drag and drop has a keyboard or menu alternative.
- When the system asks for reduced motion, animations stop.
- The website works without JavaScript and on screens 320 pixels wide.
- Interface in Italian and English.
How we check
With every change the website goes through automated accessibility tests on desktop and phone, in light and dark themes. For the webmail and the panel the same kind of tests are part of the product checks.
Known limitations
- The website's animated illustrations are decorative: they are hidden from screen readers and what they show is also written in the text.
- Full testing with the most common screen readers has not been done yet.
